Watch The Birdie
The East of England is renowned in the UK as a birdwatching paradise in the winter. The Wash is England's largest tidal estuary. This outstanding coastal wetland is one of the country's most important winter feeding areas for waders and wildfowl. Visit the nearby RSPB Snettisham where the high tide creates a great wildlife spectacle, as thousands of birds are forced off the mudflats onto the reserve's lagoons. The renowned RSPB Reserve at Titchwell is only 5 miles away.
Winter Wonderland
Enjoy a walk in our wonderful countryside - explore the Peddars Way or walk in the Royal Sandringham woods under the branches of frosty trees. Then relax and warm yourself up with our famous Steak & Ale Pie or a bowl of steaming Brancaster Mussels.
Just to remind you that with the opening of our new Garden Restaurant in April, we will be able to cater for larger private parties of up to 70 persons. Bookings being taken now. Contact Nick, Lili or Liz for details on 01485-571765.
The King William IV Dining Club
The number of club members is growing nicely! On New Years Eve the annual draw was made for a free night B&B for 2 persons. The lucky winner is Mrs. J. Spicer from Hunstanton, Congratulations! Our Dining Club has many attractions. If you would like to become a member you can pick up a registration form from the bar or request one by email or telephone.
The King William Trust - Charity 2009
The nominated King William Trust charity will once again be the RNLI lifeboat at Old Hunstanton for whom we raised, you will remember, £5.000 in 2007. The new boat is under construction but further funds are required for the intensive training programmes of the lifeboat men. We, therefore, hope to raise a similar sum through an RNLI fish & chips supper in late April and a sponsored climb of the 'Three peaks' in June. Our sous-chef Ashley Key will take on the challenge of climbing Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell pike (England) and Snowdon (Wales) one after the other. Your support will be much appreciated.
